Visit and view the magnificent Mughal architectures in Delhi and proceed to Varanasi, the cultural capital of India. Experience the spiritual and religious lifestyle of Varanasi; visit the Holy land of Sarnath. Spend the evening on the ghats of the Ganges and view the evening aarti, one of the major attractions in Varanasi.
Be it the exquisite architecture and sculpture of the world renowned Chandela Temples in Khajuraho; the natural beauty of Orchha; or the historical city of Gwalior, the majestic Madhya Pradesh, the heart of India has so much to offer. Then proceed to Agra, the land of the beautiful Taj Mahal. Also visit Tomb of Itimaduddaulah, Mahtab Bagh, Tomb of Akbar and Sikandra.
Visit Fatehpur Sikri on the way to the Pink City of Jaipur. Its architectural wonders - Amber Fort, Museum of Hand Printing , the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar are worth a visit. Come to Nimaj and you’ll have a feel of the rural Rajasthan. On the way to Udaipur, visit the Adinatha Jain Temple in Ranakpur. Udaipur, the City of Lakes, with its beautiful City Palace on the banks of Lake Pichola is a must visit. Visit the City Palace, the Durbar Hall , Crystal gallery and the Maharana’s collection of vintage cars; go for a cruise on the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola.
From Udaipur proceed to Aurangabad, the land of the beautiful Ajanta and Ellora caves. Your tour ends in Mumbai after visits to the Fort Area,Prince of Wales Museum (closed Mondays/holidays), Marine Drive, Chowpatty, Dhobi Ghat, Malabar Hill and Mani Bhawan.

Day 1 ARRIVE DELHI
Arrive Delhi today, with accommodation held from 12 noon.
Day 2 DELHI
Morning at leisure. Afternoon tour of New Delhi, viewing Lutyen's architectural panorama before visiting Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb (B)
Day 3 DELHI
This morning, visit Gandhi's memorial at Rajghat before visiting Jama Masjid and exploring Old Delhi's medieval markets. Afternoon tour of the National Museum (closed Mondays/holidays) and the Crafts Museum (closed Mondays/holidays) (B)
Day 4 DELHI / VARANASI
Morning flight to Varanasi. Afternoon tour of the hallowed Buddhist site of Sarnath and the Archaeological Museum (closed fridays/holidays). Return ro Varanasi to view the evening ceremonies along the Ganges, and stroll through the traditional markets (B)
Day 5 VARANASI / KHAJURAHO
Dawn boat trip on the Ganges to view the morning paryers. Late morning flight to Khajuraho. Afternoon tour of the renowned Chandela temples and the tribal Museum (B)
Day 6 KHAJURAHO / ORCHHA / JHANSI / GWALIOR
Drive four hours north to explore the idyllice medieval fortress-city of Orchha. Then drive the short distance to Jhansi for the early evening train to Gwalior (BL)
Day 7 GWALIOR
Morning tour of Gwalior Fort and the temples, palaces and tombs within. Afternoon tour of the Jai Vilas Palace (closed Mondays) and Durbar Hall (B)
Day 8 GWALIOR / AGRA
Drive three hours north this morning to Agra, with an option to visit Dholpur, site of the the first Mughal garden. Afternoon tour of the Tomb of Itimaduddaulah, and Mahtab Bagh, a recently excavated Mughal garden (B)
Day 9 AGRA
Sunrise and daytime tours of the Taj Mahal (closed Fridays) and Agra Fort. Further afield is the Tomb of Akbar abd Sikandra (B)
Day 10 AGRA / FATEHPUR SIKRI / JAIPUR
An hour away on the road to Jaipur, visit the deserted medieval city of Fatehpur Sikri, and then on to Jaipur, four hours west (B)
Day 11 JAIPUR
Full day tour visiting Amber Fort, Museum of Hand Printing (closed Mondays/holidays), City Palace, and Jantar Mantar observatory before an early evening walk through Johari Bazaar (B)
Day 12 JAIPUR / NIMAJ
A five hour drive south east into central Rajasthan and it's rural environs (BLD)
Day 13 NIMAJ
A full day of village excursions, walks and leisure time (BLD)
Day 14 NIMAJ / RANAKPUR / UDAIPUR
A three hour drive into the ancient Aravalli Hills. After visiting the Adinatha Jain temple, continue to Udaipur, a further two hours south (BL)
Day 15 UDAIPUR
Morning tour of the City Palace, the Durbar Hall and Crystal gallery at Fateh Prakash Palace and the Maharana's collection of vintage cars. Late afternoon motorboat cruise on Lake Pichola, followed by a walk through the old city (B)
Day 16 UDAIPUR / MUMBAI / AURANGABAD
Morning flight to Mumbai, connecting mid-afternoon to Aurangabad (BL)
Day 17 AURANGABAD
Morning excursion to the Ajanta Caves (closed Mondays), about two hours north of Aurangabad (B)
Day 18 AURANGABAD / MUMBAI
Morning excursion to Ellora Caves (closed Tuesdays) and Daulatabad Fort, an hour north west of Ellora. Evening flight to Mumbai (B)
Day 19 MUMBAI
Morning tour of the Fort area, Prince of Wales Museum (closed Mondays/holidays), Marine Drive and Chowpatty, Dhobi Ghat, Malabar Hill and Mani Bhawan. Afternoon at leisure (B)
Day 20 DEPART MUMBAI
Leave Mumbai for onward destination.
